Javier Bolaños was born and raised in Argentina.
In 2004 he opened his own private practice in the heart of Córdoba city and has been working as a lacanian psychoanalyst ever since.
He is a co-founder and the president of Fundación Salto, Argentina. He is a co-founder of Salto, PC&S (Psicoanálisis, Cultura y Sociedad) in Spain. He is a co-founder of LEAP (Lacanian Encounter Association of Psychoanalysis) in United States and editor in chief of the psychoanalytic and academic annual journal, Saltos.
He is also the director of Salto Ediciones (editorial founded in Córdoba, Argentina).
Javier has a solid clinical experience. Throughout his clinical career he has been working in both, the medical and mental health fields as well as his private practice.
His six years experience at the main mental health institution in the province of Córdoba: Sanatorio Morra, made severe pathologies like psychosis, mental-health personality disorders and addictions, Javier’s area of expertise.
Javier has an extended experience working with children, teenagers and adults with diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnics always open to address their individual situation and problematics.
Since 2004, Javier has taught psychoanalysis and psychopathology as an academic graduate and post graduate teacher at the most prestigious universities in the area: Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and Universidad Siglo 21. He has also gained experience providing psychiatric training at other institutions like Fundación Morra.
Since 2021, he teaches psychoanalysis at the prestigious 17, Instituto de Estudios Críticos in Mexico City.
Javier provides clinical supervision to colleagues like psychologists and psychiatrists. In all these years of his extended work he has verified that the theory and practice of lacanian psychoanalysis is proposing the most clear and ethical approach to listen, intervene and modify, in a definitive way, human suffering. His drive and constant interest in a new way of thinking and transmitting psychoanalysis converge in new horizons for his practice.
